ITASEC @ Ancona

ITASEC, the Italian Conference on Cybersecurity, is an annual event supported and organized by the CINI Cybersecurity National Laboratory.
The 2020 edition will take place in Ancona, from February 4th to February 7th; it will gather Italian researchers and professionals working in the field of cybersecurity, from both private and public sectors and include academia, industries, research institutions, and government.

BigDat 2020 @ Ancona

BigDat 2020, the 6th International Winter Summer School on Big Data will be held in Ancona from January 13th to January 17th at Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy.

BigDat 2020 will be a research training event with a global scope aiming at updating participants on the most recent advances in the critical and fast developing area of big data, which covers a large spectrum of current exciting research and industrial innovation with an extraordinary potential for a huge impact on scientific discoveries, medicine, engineering, business models, and society itself. Renowned academics and industry pioneers will lecture and share their views with the audience.

DEEPRETAIL @ ICIAP2019

During the 20th International Conference of Image Analisys and Processing (ICIAP) held in Trento, the VRAI lab have organized the first edition of the Workshop entitled DEEPRETAIL, focused on deep understanding shopper behaviours and interactions in intelligent retail environments. Many partecipants attended the workshop among researchers and companies.

Cambiamento: potenziale, reale, digitale @ Genova

Si è svolto presso la Camera di Commercio di Genova un l'incontro dal titolo Cambiamento: potenziale, reale, digitale. Perché non possiamo scegliere se sfruttarlo o ignorarlo. Cambiare continuamente è uno stress inevitabile cui siamo costretti oppure è un'opportunità per riscoprire il vero compito di chi lavora e fa impresa?

Il Prof. Frontoni ha partecipato a questo interessante dibattito, in cui si è anche discusso sul ruolo centrale della trasformazione digitale delle imprese e della società e sull’impatto dell’Intelligenza Artificiale.

Digital Water City EU project

16-18 September 2019, Berlin: Official kick off of Digital Water City EU project (https://www.digital-water.city/) with five main EU cities and 18 digital solutions for water value chains- Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Milan and Sofia. UNIVPM has an important role to develop digital solution for smart irrigation, serious gaming and other relevant topics. The SIMAU and DII departments of UNIVPM are involved (in the picture from the left to right: Dr. Enrico Marinelli (SIMAU), Dr. Adriano Mancini (DII), Prof. Francesco Fatone (SIMAU)).

DIGITAL-WATER.city @ Horizon 2020

VRAI group, representing the Dipartiment of Information Engineering (DII), together with the colleagues of Department of Materials, Environmental Sciences and Urban Planning (SIMAU) have won the Horizon 2020 project named DIGITAL-WATER.city - Leading urban water management to its digital future (link) .

Digital-water.city’s (DWC) main goal is to boost the integrated management of waters systems in five major European urban and peri-urban areas, Berlin, Milan, Copenhagen, Paris and Sofia, by leveraging the potential of data and smart digital technologies. DWC will create linkages between the digital and the physical worlds by developing and demonstrating 18 advanced digital solutions to address current and future water-related challenges; namely the protection of human health, the increase of performance and return on investment of water infrastructures and the involvement of citizens in urban water management.
