DWC

Every year, € 45 billion is invested in water and sewage infrastructure in the European Union. This figure needs to double over the next decade to modernise the overall infrastructure and cope with climate change. Digital technologies especially are key enablers to achieve this modernisation.

Digital-water.city works towards three objectives:

  • Health Protection
  • Performance and return on investment
  • Public involvement

DWC develops and demonstrates advanced digital solutions. These solutions covers the whole range of innovative digital technologies, such as augmented reality, mobile technology, cloud computing, sensors, real-time monitoring, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, modelling and open source software. DWC is active in five European urban and peri-urban areas and services 30 million European citizens (Berlin, Milan, Sofia, Copenhagen, Paris).
