Maria Chiara Fiorentino (B.Sc. 2015, M.Sc, 2018) was born in Ancona (AN) on June 1992.
She graduated cum laude in Biomedical Engineering at Universita` Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) in July 2018, with a thesis entitled: “Design and implementation of a dyskinesia detection system for patients with Parkinson’s disease based on consumer elec- tronics devices”. Between 2018 and 2019, she spent 6 months at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) as research fellows. The research was focused on the development of advanced image-processing methods for image segmentation in cardiac images.
Maria Chiara is currently a PhD at Universita` Politecnica delle Marche, in the Department of Information Engineering. Her PhD project deals with deep learning and machine learning methods for medical image analysis.
